Cell Phones

Parents/Guardians:
When students get to school their cell phones are to go into their pocket or backpack.  At 7:47 when students report to homeroom they are to turn off their cell phone and lock it in their locker.  If they choose to bring a cell phone or mp3 player it is their responsibility.  I plan on allowing 7th & 8th graders to listen to music (with head buds) only when we are in the gym during the morning (7:15-7:47) when weather causes us to need to be inside.  6th graders are not allowed to do this.  It’s a 7th & 8th grader privilege
Beginning Monday: If a student gets a cell phone or any other electronic device confiscated during the school day his/her parent will have to come to school and get it.  If necessary, it is the student’s responsibility to request permission to contact home and inform parents/guardians that the cell phone has been confiscated and will only be returned to a parent.  If it is an inconvenience please take that up with your child.  It has been made very clear to them that cell phones and any other electronic devices are to remain in lockers.
Thanks and have a great weekend.
